On December 4th, 2016 Tsinghua University postgraduate students “Dec 9th” revolutionary songs choir competition held in the integrated gymnasium. “Environment-geoscience united team” composed of 96 postgraduate students from center for earth system science and school of environment sang the Red Army songSky Roadin the competition. The passionate and romantic songs fully showed the style of geoscience and environment postgraduate students, won the applause from the audience, and finally won the "team style award".

From the mobilization rally of Oct 10th to the final match of Dec 4th, geoscience and environment postgraduate union organized a total of 14 chorus rehearsals and 1 “Dec 9th” knowledge contests. In the past two months, the students participated in the competition regardless of the wind and rain, the fog and cold, still adhere to the chorus rehearsal, which reflected a commendable “Dec 9th” spirit. They harvested not only the promotion of singing skills, but also the friendship and commendable perseverance.

History writes songs, remembers the past eventful years, when the ears sounded those old songs, a piece of memory in mind, four times for Red River, in the Taihang Mountain, Sky Road, different times, different stories, also memorable. “Dec 9th” revolutionary songs choir competition is a few of the postgraduate students collective cultural activities, looking forward to the new students of geoscience create more achievements in the next research work with this perseverance.
