The 16th Summer Davos Forum was held in Tianjin from June 24 to 25. Professor Chen Deliang from the Department of Earth System Science (DESS) at Tsinghua University attended the forum upon the invitation of the World Economic Forum. The forum brought together more than 1,700 political, business, and academic leaders and representatives from over 90 countries and regions to discuss pressing global issues across the economy, society, and environment.

As a special guest, Professor Chen Deliang took part in dialogues and discussions on climate resilience and the interactions between extreme weather and ecosystems. He shared the latest research findings and insights in this field, and exchanged views with experts and scholars from around the world to explore effective strategies for addressing climate change and enhancing climate resilience.
Professor Chen also served as the Chief Academic Advisor for the Chinese version of the climate resilience insight report, Act Now: How Business Can Strengthen Resilience for Climate Disasters), jointly released by the World Economic Forum and Accenture. The report provides an in-depth analysis of the impact of climate change on enterprises and offers specific recommendations for enhancing their climate resilience.

Themed "Entrepreneurship for a New Era," this year's Summer Davos Forum was aimed to showcase the achievements of China's high-quality economic development to the international community, demonstrate China's commitment to high-level opening-up, and share the opportunities and benefits of China's development with the world.
