Abstract:

This lecture will be composed of two sessions of Zijing Forum. At the first session, the speaker will focus on analyzing the structure, vision, targeted content and sample papers of Nature and its publications, and briefly introduce some key points for paper writing.

At the second session, the speaker will explain the paper writing skills in details, including selection of story lines and topics, key points for writing each part of a paper and theme sublimation, and introduce the points for attention in paper submission (cover letter design, paper review process and feedback of review comments), post-submission matters (post-receipt matters and rebuttal for rejection), etc.

 

Speaker Profile:

Xia Chang, Ph.D. in ecological economics from the University of East Anglia in the UK, was a senior academic editor of Nature Communications from 2017 to 2020 and is currently a senior academic editor of Nature. As the only economics editor of the two journals, she is mainly responsible for the review of papers related to social economy, environmental policy, health risk, climate change and sustainable development. She has ever studied in the UK for ten years. She is committed to interdisciplinary research on natural disasters, health risks and socio-economic impacts, and has published many SCI papers with a high impact factor.
