U-RUN 2017 Tsinghua University Campus Marathon began under the firing shot on the afternoon of the 15th of April. This is a way to celebrate the 106th anniversary of Tsinghua University. The Marathon Race Contains four groups including men, women 10 km and men, women half a total. The Contestants ran past the Humanities Library, the Western Stadium, Tsinghua’s landmark- the School Gate and the New Tsinghua School. Apart from participating in the marathon, they also enjoyed the warm spring and the beautiful campus scenery.
DESS students were actively involved in the campus marathon, about 40 students finished the running. Students in the "focus on participation" principle, encouraged each other, continue to challenge the limit, break through the self. Each participant were successfully completed the game. After the game, each student received a medal and a certificate which symbolize the courage.
Attaching great importance to long-distance running has been an important sports tradition and characteristics of Tsinghua University, students also use practical action to achieve the goal "50 years' healthy working for motherland for 50 years". The annual campus marathon, not only exercise the students' body, but also gives the students a chance to exchange, deepen the friendship between each other.
