On the morning of December 20, Feng Ling, Party Secretary and Director and Wu Dehui, Party Member and Deputy Director of the Fujian Provincial Meteorological Bureau, and their party visited the Department of Earth System Science (DESS), Tsinghua University for research and exchange. Luo Yong, Dean of the DESS, Geng Rui, Secretary of the Party Committee of DESS, and Lin Yanluan, Deputy Dean of the DESS, and other related faculty members attended the Colloquium, which was presided over by Luo Yong.

Feng Ling thanked the DESS for its long-term support to the Fujian Provincial Meteorological Bureau. She introduced the Bureau from the aspects of national meteorological assessment, business platform, research team, research achievements and research funds, before briefing the background of this research tour.

Luo Yong welcomed Feng Ling and her party. He introduced the DESS from the aspects of its development course, discipline construction, teaching staff, research direction, key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, research achievements and Earth Lab.

With a focus on earth system science, the two sides hoped to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in scientific research, platform construction, talent introduction and cultivation, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and environmental protection.
