In the morning of March 23, 2015, Meteorological Administration of Anhui province held a “Climate Knowledge Services Climate Action” seminar, and Professor Yong Luo from CESS (Center for Earth System Science), Tsinghua University was invited to deliver a report at the meeting, in order to pay tribute on the occasion of the annual World Meteorological Day. Hu Wen who is vice director of Anhui Provincial Meteorological Bureau attended the meeting and delivered a speech, more than 200 students from Hefei‘s Universitis attended.

In the meeting, Professor Luo made an address on "challenge and the latest cognition about global climate change", describing the key function of climate science in coping with climate change issues. Professor Luo also assessed the future impact of climate change globally, and explained several questions about global climate change issues. Professor Luo also visited Climate Center and Institute of Meteorological Sciences of Anhui Province the next morning, and gave the academic speech on “interpreting the core conclusions in Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report".
