Introduction to the Lecture

Urban population and economic factors are highly concentrated, making it imperative to strike a balance between development and protection so as to maintain the health and safety of the urban system. In this study, ecological simulation, risk transference, resilience evaluation and other methods are integrated to carry out urban risk prevention and control and resilience management research. Meanwhile, with waterlogging events as an example, the diffusion process of disaster risk in social and economic systems is identified, and the risk spillover effect and potential economic losses are evaluated. The research results can provide reference for disaster risk management and ecological resilience improvement in cities.
