Abstract

PART IEconomic considerations in building a healthy ChinaHealth is the foundation for improving people's well-being and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Can the calculation of economic accounts provide some help for the construction of a healthy China? What are some examples of health-related economic accounts in life? What lessons can we learn from developed countries? In what ways can we calculate a healthy economic account in the future? This lecture will discuss these issues with you. PART IIDigital survival during pandemicThe novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is spreading worldwide. Wherever the pandemic went, economic development, people's livelihood security, and social stability were all strongly affected. The lecture summarized the status of "digital survival" and the problems exposed from five different perspectives of individuals, communities, cities, countries and the world, and also made recommendations for better response to public health emergencies in the future.

Presenter Profile

CAI Wenjia, Associate Professor, Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University, PhD supervisor. Her main research directions are energy-environment-economic system modeling and analysis, as well as the simulation of the impact of carbon reduction on the environment and health. She has published many papers in theLancet Planetary Health, Lancet, Environmental Science and Technologyand other internationally renowned journals. In 2018, she was awarded the "Academic Newcomer Award" by Tsinghua University. In 2019, she was selected as the fourth batch of top-notch young talents in the national "Ten Thousand Talent Program". She once participated in the UN climate change negotiations as a member of the Chinese delegation, and formulated the climate for the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology andEnvironment Policy provides policy advice. BAI Yuqi is an associate professor in the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University and a researcher at the Center for Healthy Cities, Institute for China Sustainable Urbanization. His research interest is in digital information infrastructure, and he has made innovative researches in space information search under the network environment, large-scale earth remote sensing data sharing integrated system, and distributed collaborative computing model of massive geoscience data.
