Course Description

Surface evapotranspiration is the link between energy, water and carbon cycles. Remote sensing models of evapotranspiration are the main means to obtain the spatial distribution of evapotranspiration at present, but these models are often difficult to distinguish the contribution of vegetation canopy and soil to evapotranspiration, and too many input parameters of vegetation functional type lead to large uncertainty in their estimation. By combining ecological optimality principle and land surface model scheme, the course will introduce the understanding and development of universal vegetation transpiration module and module that can separate remote sensing heat information, and the construction of dual-source evapotranspiration model (EEOET) with strong mechanical rationality and few fixed parameters.
