2021 Tsinghua University faculty basketball game kicked off in midsummer June. The basketball team composed of 14 teachers and employees from Department of Earth System Science participated for the competition for the first time. The basketball team of Department of Earth System Science was distributed to Group C of the first group, and played against the School of Aerospace Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Department of Precision Instrument, and School of Law in the group round-robin competition. Competition lasted two weeks, fierce and exciting. The players on the field sweated and released their passion, sometimes dribbled the ball continuously, and sometimes threw the ball into a perfect parabola. The eyes of the spectators outside the field shifted quickly with the players, and there were bursts of encouragement and cheers from time to time.

The basketball game has built a platform for faculty and staff to strengthen body and to enrich lives. It strengthens the team cohesion of faculty and staff, and also create a strong sports culture atmosphere for Department of Earth System Science.
