Introduction to the Lecture:

Electric energy replacement is an important strategic measure to achieve China's goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. Based on the analysis of the current situation and existing problems of electric energy replacement in China against the backdrops of carbon neutrality, this report discusses the influencing factors, potential accounting, model construction and practice in typical fields of electric energy replacement, and finally presents a possible scheme of the realization path of electric energy replacement.

Profile of the Speaker:

Wang Zhaohua, Ph.D. in Management, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Distinguished Professor of the Changjiang Scholar Award Program of the Ministry of Education, Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Winner of the China Youth Science and Technology Award, Candidate for “the New Century National Hundred Thousand-and-Ten Thousand Talents Project” and recipient of special government allowance of the State Council, is currently the Dean of the School of Management and Economics of the Beijing Institute of Technology. Over a long period of time, he has been engaged in research in the fields of resource and environment management, intelligent decision-making and sustainable development policy modeling. He has presided over more than 30 projects in such programs as the National Natural Science Foundation (Youth, General, Key and Distinguished Young Scholars) and national key research and development programs; published 5 monographs and more than 200 papers in academic journals at home and abroad such as Nature, Nature Communications, and Management World. More than 100 of his papers have been indexed by SCI/SSCI, and he has been selected as a global highly cited researcher by Clarivate. Meanwhile, he has won the first prize of Beijing Education and Teaching Achievement, the second prize of Beijing Natural Science and the second prize of Ministry of Education Natural Science. He is also Vice President of China Management Science Society, Executive Director of Management Science and Engineering Research Society, Executive Director of China Sustainable Development Research Society, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, Vice Chairman of Energy Economic Management Committee, and Chairman of University Management Research Society of Beijing Higher Education Society. He also serves as editor-in-chief or deputy editor-in-chief and on the editorial board of several academic journals at home and abroad.
