Abstract

This report will introduce a 3D Full Stokes model developed independently for ice cover simulation, which is developed on the parallel adaptive finite element platform PHG platform. In order to solve the problems of Full Stokes model, such as the complex model and the large amount of computation, we developed anefficient preconditioner to solve linear equations, designed the Picard Newton hybrid iterative method to solve nonlinear problems, and adopted a special numerical scheme to ensure local mass conservation. The report will also compare our results with different ice sheet model simulations in the EISMINT-II test.
