Today, the celebration of “Earth Day” (Apr. 22) has covered 192 countries around the world. Every year, more than 1 billion people participate it, making it the world's largest environmental protection festival.

The Department of Earth System Science (DESS) has launched a series of activities for the “Earth Day”, such as lectures on the protection of the earth's ecosystem, photography exhibitions, creative paintings, sports, etc.
