On April 3, the seminar for non-institution personnel of the Department of Earth System Sciences (DESS) was held at S818 in the Mengminwei Science and Technology South Building. Luo Yong, secretary of the General Party Branch of the DESS, attended the meeting. Wu Haiping, deputy director and deputy secretary of the General Party Branch, hosted the meeting. A total of 16 non-institution staff members attended the seminar.

Wu Haiping first reported on the opinions and suggestions received by the meeting of democratic life in 2017. He introduced the principle of promotion, and encouraged the staff to promote their professionalism. During the meeting, the basic situation of the medical insurance, the training course provided by the school personnel department, professional title assessment system were also introduced. Participating faculty members exchanged ideas on how to improved their professional skills and accomplish the specific processes for promoting titles.

In the end, Luo Yong expressed his recognition of the contribution made by the leadership for serving the non-institution personnel of the department. He said that in order improve the working environment cultural atmosphere of the DESS, the leadership team keeps actively exploring reform programs concerning the management of the non-institution personnel, which hopes to expand the development space for each staff. He welcomed everyone's opinions and suggestions to contribute to the development of DESS.
