Yu Le, Associate Professor of the Department of Earth System Sciences (DESS), was awarded.

It is reported that this is the first and only talent reward program in the field of computational earth science in China. The award was jointly established by the Key Laboratory of Earth System Numerical Simulation of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for Earth System Modeling at Tsinghua University and Inspur in 2012. The aim of the award is to promote the domestic cross-over study in Earth System science and high-performance computing, including the training of young talents. The selection process was recommended by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, Changjiang scholars, and well-known experts. Inspur have invested 5 million to support the 200,000 bonus each year.
