On May 30 , 2014 CESS’s annual teaching seminar was held in S818 ， Mong Man Wai Building . Nearly 40 members , including leaders , professors , post-doctors , student representatives and administrative staff attended this conference . The seminar is hosted by Yong Luo .

Vice president of Graduate School , Hong Gao was invited to give a lecture on “Action and Conceive about the Comprehensive Reform of Graduate Education ” in this conference. Deputy director of the University Counseling Center , Dan Liu made special report about “ Graduates’ psychological problems and crisis response ”. Then , Peng Gong , director of CESS , Haoming Chen , executive vice president of Graduate School , and Bin Wang , professor of CESS stated their advice on how to cultivate outstanding graduates . All the participants discussed intensely on the draft program about postgraduate training mechanism of CESS .

In the end , Gong made a summary of this conference . He believed that students are the new force in scientific research . Every teacher should do their best to transfer their students to excellent researchers .
