Nikola Trendov serves as the Senior Digital Agriculture and Innovation Expert at FAO Headquaters in Rome since 2018. He has 12 years of experience in the field of digital agriculture strategies and digital innovation capabilities across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. He is skilled in leading digital agriculture strategies, developing digital solutions, building AgriTech ecosystems, and driving UN-led digital innovation initiatives. With a proven record in empowering youth and women, establishing innovation funds and digital hubs, and advising governments on policies that foster sustainable digital transformation, he brings a wealth of practical expertise to the field. He holds a Ph.D. focused in Digital Agricultural Technologies.
