Zeeda Mohamad is an Associate Professor at the Department of Science and Technology Studies, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, and currently serves as Director of the Universiti Malaya Sustainable Development Centre (UMSDC). With a multidisciplinary background in ecology, environmental management, and science and technology studies, she strives to bridge academic knowledge with real-world environmental action. Her research explores the intersection of science, technology, and innovation (STI) with environmental sustainability, particularly in the context of sustainable development challenges in late-industrializing countries. She has expanded her work within the field of Sustainability Science, with interests in sustainability transitions, education for sustainable development, participatory watershed management, citizen science, and social innovation. Zeeda currently represents Universiti Malaya in regional platforms such as the ASEAN University Network on Ecological Education and Culture (AUN-EEC) and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Malaysia Chapter.
