Introduction to the Lecture

Ice clouds exert a significant impact on the radiation balance of the earth system, while aerosols constitute a main source of ice nuclei during the formation of ice clouds, which affects the formation of ice clouds and their microphysical properties. However, the numerical simulation of aerosol ice cloud effect still has many shortcomings in the aspects of aerosol ice nucleation activity, ice cloud. The inadequate understanding of organic aerosol ice cloud effect, particularly, may affect the assessment and prediction of climate change. This report will comprehensively expound the research results of numerical simulation of ice cloud effect of organic aerosol from the aspects of the development of aerosol ice cloud effect simulation scheme, the ice cloud radiative forcing assessment of organic aerosols and the influence mechanism of organic aerosols on the formation process of ice cloud, and discuss its uncertainty and possible development direction.
