A recruitment information session hosted by the College of Meteorology and Oceanography, National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) took place in S818, Mong Man Wai Technology Building on April 15. Graduating students and current doctoral candidates from related majors of the Department of Earth System Science (DESS) attended the event.

Professor Liu Li from the department extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from NUDT. He noted that the two sides share highly aligned academic disciplines, and encouraged students to explore career opportunities offered by the university.

Jiang Siyao, staff member of the College of Meteorology and Oceanography, gave a comprehensive introduction to NUDT’s talent recruitment policies. Associate Researcher Zhu Xiang delivered a presentation on the latest research progress and future development plans of the Institute of Numerical Prediction.

During the Q&A session, teachers and students exchanged views on research focuses, career prospects and employment requirements.

This information session offered students a valuable chance to learn about the research platforms and talent policies of NUDT. Tsinghua DESS will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with key institutions to support students in securing high-quality jobs and pursuing sound career development.
