The new semester started, Drink Hour was held for the first time in the South building of MMW technology building on March 16, 2017. This time, we invited a special guest, Jingru Sun, the doctoral candidate from department of earth system science whose major is atmospheric science and research direction is the interaction between typhoon and ocean. Jingru went abroad for further study in Canada with the support of China Scholarship Council in 2015. She has published two SCI papers and participated in international conferences for many times and won the “Outstanding Young Scientist Award” in the International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean(IMWO).

Jinru introduced the application requirements, the preparation work and matters needing attention during the application process. She mentioned the importance of language achievement and communication with the supervisor. Finally, Jingru encouraged us to apply for the first-class school and first-rate supervisor.

The event attracted many students to come to exchange. The students had a warm communication and harmonious interaction, also gaining a lot.
