The afternoon of January 18, Tsinghua University held the first scientific research and innovation annual meeting in the Reception Hall of the Main Building, and announced the "Highlights of Tsinghua University 2017". Two research achievements from the Department of Earth System Science (DESS) were awarded: " Nonlinear Earthquake Simulation on Sunway TaihuLight" by associate prof. Fu Haohuan and "Transboundary Health Effects of PM2.5 in International Trade " by Prof. Zhang Qiang (as collaborative first executants).

This is the second time that the prize has been given to Fu’s research team. At the meeting, Fu said that the team constantly explores new knowledge in the cutting-edge, promotes the intersection of disciplines, and hopes to transform top scientific research achievements into first-rate social services.
