In order to promote the Chinese Academy of Sciences Arctic "cryosphere changes and sustainable development" overseas research center construction foundation, to further clarify the future of the main direction and content of cooperation. The State Key Laboratory of Cryosphere Sciences conducted field trips and research on the Arctic region of Alaska from 18 to 27 June. Chinese Academy of Sciences Northwest Institute of Ecological Environment Resources (chips) Qin Dahe academician, Ding Yongjian researcher, Kang Shichang researcher and Tsinghua University Department of Earth System Science Professor Luo Yong and his party 10 people participated in the joint study.

The study group also examined UAF's permafrost hydrological and ecological observation sites in the Noam area, the frozen field of Ketzepo, and the typical marine glaciers of Juneau which is the capital of Alaska.

The Chinese delegation also held joint symposiums at Fairbanks with relevant researchers of the UAF International Arctic Research Center. They focused on three fields: the impact of the Arctic cryosphere and the influence of the climate system, the influence of the Arctic cryosphere on the hydrological and meteorology, and the influence of the Arctic cryosphere on the ecosystem and the sustainable development.

During the inspection process, the delegation also conducted meetings with the mayor of Nome Richard Benevville, mayor of Kotzebue Linda Joule and other local government officials, representatives of research institutions and representatives of local residents. They discussed in depth about the impact of Cryosphere changes on local residents' well-being, cultural practices, fisheries and building foundations.
