On the afternoon of July 28, the chair of Fujian Spring Ecological Science & Technology Co., Ltd (Spring Ecology) was Lin Wanxin visited the Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University. Professor Yong Luo, the Party branch secretary and Vice-Director of the Department of Earth System Science met with Lin Wanxin and his entourage in the conference room S927 of Meng Minwei Science&Technology Building.

Prof. Luo Yong extended a warm welcome to Mr. Lin Wanxin's first visit and briefed the guests on the history of the development of Tsinghua University. Luo Yong said that the Department of Earth System Science has always attached importance to the development of international exchange and cooperation, since the establishment of the Earth System Science Center in 2009, carried out a large number of cooperation and exchange and research projects. Luo Yong briefed the guests on the latest progress made by Department of Earth Sciences in the fields of atmospheric ocean, ecological science, high performance computing and international cooperation. He mainly presented the implementation of coastal wetland ecology, global change ecology and the main achievements.

Lin Wanxin said that Tsinghua University has a unique status in China’s higher education, it is a world-renowned institution for the country to cultivate a large number of talents. The Department of Earth System Science received a high reputation in scientific research fields. He briefed the situations in the technology research of ecological environment, mainly demonstrated the research of alt and alkali technology, landscape design and coastal ecological restoration and development results.

The two sides expressed the hope to establish long-term in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the ecological technology research and other areas.
