On May 6, Professor Ann Lin brought a delegation of 17 teachers and students from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan to CESS under the invitation of Xu Guanhua, the chief of the scientific committee of CESS. CPC Party Secretary Professor Luo Yong hosted the meeting, accompanied by Professor Qi Ye from the School of Public Administration, Tsinghua University.

Professor Luo Yong started with a welcome speech, and brief introduction on the discipline construction,talent cultivation and social service of CESS. His speech entitled “The core content of third national assessment report on climate change” triggered a warm discussion among participants. After the talk, Professor Luo and Professor Qi responded to questions aroused by concerning students, such as the policy to deal with global warming in China. The visitors said this exchange increased their knowledge on the national conditions of China, the challenges and achievements in environmental protection and global warming in China, and this activity is of great significance in strengthening academic cooperation and communication.
