Elaine is currently working in Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) as a senior programme coordinator for overseas emergency health service. Being trained as a public health professional, Elaine has joined HKRC since 2013 as an officer responsible for health emergencies. With her major experiences in overseas emergency responses including Health Emergency Response Unit (Health ERU), she has coordinated HKRC responses on resource and surge personnel mobilizations in the major emergency operations which includes earthquakes, floods, Ebola, typhoon etc. Over the past years, Elaine was also deployed by HKRC and International Red Cross (IFRC) to respond in different emergency operations including floods in China, Bangladesh Cox Bazar Population Movement 2018, Türkiye Earthquake 2023, Herat Earthquake in Afghanistan 2023, and most recently to support Myanmar Earthquake 2025.
