Abstract

Traditional watershed studies focus on hydrologic / hydraulic technology. But the current watershed is no longer just a natural place for water to move. High levels of development and utilization have changed the watershed characteristics. The basin is no longer physical, but a complex of historical, social, economic, cultural, political and natural as well as engineering. Therefore, new ideas, methods and systems are needed to carry out integrated management of the river basin environment. The main purpose of this talk is to discuss the sustainable development of the basin through specific examples of flood risk analysis, water quality management and wetland use.
