Abstract

In this talk, Thomas and Antoine will share the following applications of remote sensing in urban areas:a.Vegetation in very high resolution images with CNN: application to satellite and aerial images in Rennes and Paris;b.Characterizing urban morphology change: application to the monitoring of Beijing old city's dynamics from 1966 to 2015;c.Monitoring urban sprawl at national/European scale: application to France based SPOT and LANSDAT mission archives from 1985 to 2015.

Presenter Profile

Antoine Lefebvre is head director of KERMAP, a spin-off project of the research laboratory UMR CNRS LETG, incubating in IMT Atlantique (Institut Mines Télécom) and IGNfab (Institut Géographique National). KERMAP supports cities to fill the gap of environmental information and produce urban planning documents.
