讲座简介

Thetropical Indian Ocean (TIO) has warmed progressively by 1°C since the 1950s and will probably continue to warm as the atmospheric carbon dioxide level keeps rising. In this talk, I will discuss how the TIO warming could influence global climate via interacting with the Atlantic Ocean, which has been largely overlooked before. Implications for past and future climate changes will be discussed.

主讲人简介

胡世能，2012年获北京大学学士学位，2018年获耶鲁大学博士学位，目前为哥伦比亚大学博士后。在Nature Climate Change, PNAS, Science Advances等国际知名刊物发表论文14篇；主要研究方向为海气相互作用、ENSO、古气候演变机理等。
